October is Dyslexia Awareness Month

October is here! At No Stone, we celebrate our 1 in 5 kiddos that have dyslexia – yes, 1 in 5, 20% of children and adults, have dyslexia.

Our kids with dyslexia are imaginative and creative, excel in people skills, often identify solutions to problems that their peers wouldn’t always consider, and are excellent at building, designing, and creating. We love using their strengths to help them learn in a way that makes sense to them – whether that be writing our letters in sand, embedding reading activities in obstacle courses, or reading cooking recipes, we find ways of teaching them the way they learn best.

Ayla is a great example of a child who demonstrated great success when given the opportunity to be taught in a way that matches the way she learns. We are so proud of Ayla and all that she has accomplished and have loved seeing her excel
